Instructions
Step
1
First, pour eight ounces of milk into a blender that is strong enough to crush ice.

Step
2
Next add once scoop of Banana Crème Muscle Milk powder. You can buy this at most any vitamin shop, or GNC store. I recommend that you purchase it online through Amazon.com or Vitamin Shoppe. You will save 40% to 50% off the retail price.

Step
3
Now add one scoop of vanilla whey protein powder. I use the store brand from Whole Foods. You can use other brands to substitute but I have found this to be the best tasting.

Step
4
Add one banana. If you are concerned about carbs you can cut the banana in half.

Step
5
One option is a table spoon of flax seed oil. Flax seed is rich in omega-3 fatty acids which helps fight cancer and improve circulation. Some people refer to it as brain food. It doesn’t affect the taste and actually gives it a richer texture.

Step
6
Another option is a 1/3 to ½ cup of organic oatmeal. This adds a bit of fiber and slows down the glycemic rate.

Step
7
Add about ten average-sized ice cubes. Since ice cubes vary in size you will need to experiment with this depending on the thickness you want.

Step
8
Cover and turn on the blender on high speed for about a minute or until all the ice is finely crushed.

Step
9
This makes approximately 32 ounces. Enjoy!
